Our Cloud Server optimizes your IT infrastructure, delivering on-demand scalability, high availability, and full customization in a secure, stable environment designed for continuous operations.

What is a Cloud Server?

A Cloud Server is a virtual server that, instead of relying on a single physical machine, uses virtualization to allocate processing power, memory, and storage. This allows you to scale resources as needed, with high availability and redundancy to minimize downtime.

Full Customization

Tailor your cloud server to match your preferences and the specific requirements of your project.

Guaranteed Scalability

Increase your server’s capacity whenever required, quickly and without complex migrations.

Pay Only for What You Use

Optimize your budget by contracting only the resources your project truly needs.

How Does a Cloud Server Work?

Virtualization

Our software allocates physical server resources to independent virtual machines, each with its own operating system and dedicated resources.

Dedicated Virtual Resources

The infrastructure distributes these virtual resources in the cloud for efficient and secure use by each customer.

Complete Administrative Control

With root or administrator access, you can install and manage databases, web or mail servers, and any software your project requires.

What’s Included in Your Plan?

Focus on Your Business

If a node fails, another takes over immediately, avoiding downtime and data loss.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Cloud Server and how is it different from cloud storage?
  • A Cloud Server is a complete virtual server, with its own processor, memory, and disk, designed to host applications, websites, or systems. It's not the same as a cloud storage service (like Google Drive or Dropbox), which only stores files: here you get a functional server you access via console or panel, with full control over the operating system.
What's the difference between a Cloud Server and a shared hosting plan?
  • With shared hosting, your site shares the server's resources with other accounts and management is simplified through a panel. With a Cloud Server, resources (CPU, RAM, disk) are exclusive to you, with root access and full control, making it ideal when your project grows in traffic or needs specific software that shared hosting doesn't allow you to install.
How much does a Cloud Server cost?
  • A Cloud Server is built to fit the resources your project needs (CPU, RAM, disk, and transfer), so there's no single price. You can build your exact configuration and see the price instantly in our configurator.
What's the difference between paying monthly, semi-annually, or annually?
  • Monthly billing is charged at the list price, with no discount. The semi-annual plan gives you 60% off during the first 6 months for new orders, and the annual plan includes 1 free month. The exact total with the discount is confirmed when you place your order.
What's the difference between 1 Gbps connectivity and the monthly data transfer included?
  • They're two different things: 1 Gbps is the maximum speed of your connection, while monthly transfer (for example, 1000 GB or 1 TB) is the total volume of data you can move in a month. At maximum speed, 1000 GB is used up in a little over two hours, so in practice the included volume is usually the real limit, not the connection speed.
Can I host my own application (Node.js, Docker, a database, and background processes) on a Cloud Server?
  • Yes. A Cloud Server is the right choice for your own web applications, SaaS products, and APIs with a custom stack (for example Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Docker), since you have root access to install and configure exactly what your project needs, with the option to scale resources later without migrating.
Is it better to build my own cloud server or hire a managed one?
  • Building your own server means taking on the physical infrastructure, security, and uptime yourself. With a Cloud Server from G2K Hosting you get the same full control over the operating system, but the infrastructure and the data center are on us, and you can add a specialized or 100% managed support tier as an option when you order, depending on how much you want to hand off to our team.
Which product do I need if my AI project requires a GPU?
  • If your project needs GPU processing (for example, training or running an inference model), the right product is a Dedicated Server with GPU, with physical hardware dedicated to that workload. Our Cloud Server for AI, on the other hand, is built for the applications that use AI, not for hosting it: chatbots, autonomous agents, automation pipelines, vector databases for RAG, or a gateway to AI providers, all running on your own private server without needing a GPU.
Is a Cloud Server a good option for an SME or a startup in Argentina?
  • Yes. A Cloud Server works both for small projects just getting started and for growing operations, since you can start with a modest configuration and scale resources later without migrating servers or losing continuity.
Do you offer local support from Argentina?
  • Yes. We're an Argentine company with our own data center in the country, and our support team is local and human.
Can I use my Cloud Server to launch attacks (DDoS) against third parties?
  • No, launching attacks against third parties isn't allowed. You can host applications or games that might themselves be targeted by attacks, though: that's what our mitigation system is for.
Can I use my Cloud Server to mine cryptocurrency?
  • No, cryptocurrency mining isn't allowed on our Cloud Servers.
What's the difference between CWP Free and CWP Pro?
  • CWP Pro includes unlimited accounts (you can create as many users and domains as your server's resources can handle), a reseller panel to sell hosting by creating sub-administrators who manage their own client packages, and support for PHP-FPM. These features aren't available on CWP Free, which only offers CGI instead of PHP-FPM.
Can I generate free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates from CWP?
  • Yes. You can generate free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates directly from the CWP panel, without going through support.
What is a Cloud Server and how is it different from a traditional physical server?
  • A Cloud Server is a virtual server that uses virtualization technology to allocate processing power, memory, and storage from a high-performance physical infrastructure. Unlike a traditional physical server, it offers greater flexibility, scalability, and redundancy, allowing you to adapt resources to your project's needs without replacing hardware.
Where are G2K Hosting's Cloud Servers hosted, and what are the advantages?
  • Our Cloud Servers are hosted in G2K Hosting's own data center, located in Argentina. This gives you lower latency if your audience or team is in Latin America, thanks to geographic proximity and optimized network routes, plus 1 Gbps connectivity, enterprise-grade security measures, and compliance with local regulations.
Can I choose the operating system for my Cloud Server?
  • Yes. During the ordering process in our configurator, you can select the operating system that best suits your project, including Linux distributions and Windows Server versions. The CWP panel we offer by default is available on Alma Linux; with another distribution or with Windows Server, you can install and manage the panel of your choice yourself, or request it from our sales team.
Can I install control panels like cPanel or Plesk on my Cloud Server?
  • In our configurator, you can order your Cloud Server with CWP (Control Web Panel) on Alma Linux. If you prefer another panel such as cPanel or Plesk, you can request it through our sales team to include it in your order or as a service change. With full administrative control, you can also install the panel of your choice yourself.
Do I have full control over the server, and can I install the applications I need?
  • Yes. When you order, you'll receive the credentials needed to fully administer the server, including installing, configuring, and managing any software compatible with your chosen operating system.
Can I configure custom firewall rules and security settings?
  • Yes. You have full control to configure firewall rules, manage access, and apply additional security measures according to your project's needs.
Can I restart the server remotely?
  • Yes. You can restart it directly from the operating system without needing to contact support.
Can a Cloud Server be used to host high-traffic websites?
  • Yes. In fact, when a website on shared hosting begins receiving significant traffic, we recommend migrating it to a Cloud Server. These servers offer more power, scalability, and stability to handle large volumes of visitors.
Can I request additional resources like CPU, RAM, or storage?
  • Yes. To increase or reduce your Cloud Server's resources, you must contact our sales team. The upgrade is processed quickly without changing your plan or migrating the server.
Are backups included in Cloud Server plans?
  • Backup isn't included by default: it's an option you add when ordering through our configurator, starting at 10 GB. It's meant to safeguard specific information (files, databases), not to be a full copy of the server; that's what the snapshot option is for.
Can I add a snapshot (disk copy) to my Cloud Server?
  • Yes. A snapshot is a full copy of your Cloud Server's disk, which you can enable as an option in the configurator when ordering. It's not included by default. A snapshot is generated monthly and rotates with the next month's snapshot.
How do I transfer my data from a shared web hosting plan?
  • Our support team will migrate your data free of charge when upgrading from a shared hosting plan to a Cloud Server or corporate service.
Which DNS addresses do I use to point my domain to my Cloud Server?
  • If you don't have your own DNS servers, you can use ours: primary DNS NS1.G2KHOSTING.COM and secondary DNS NS2.G2KHOSTING.COM. Our support team can help you configure them so your domain points correctly.
If my application is built in ASP or ASP.NET, which operating system should I choose for my Cloud Server?
  • These applications require a Cloud Server running Windows Server. If your application is built in PHP, on the other hand, you can choose Linux or Windows, whichever you find easier to manage.
How is the Cloud Server service billed?
  • It's billed at a fixed amount based on the resources you order, not on actual usage (you're not charged by the hour or by GB used, as with other cloud providers). You can choose monthly, semi-annual, or annual billing, each with its own terms.
Can I order additional IP addresses for my Cloud Server?
  • Yes. In the configurator, you can request additional IPs, as each Cloud Server includes one free dedicated IP. If you already have an active server, you can order more IPs by contacting our sales team.
